The Nicaraguan government said within 90 days from Wednesday it would release all those arrested during the protests held last year against President Daniel Ortega to try and restart talks with opposition groups, according to Reuters. Human rights groups have said more than 320 people have been killed and many more wounded in the protests, while more than 700 were detained during the violent crackdown on the protests.
