Scientists say that a large, now extinct, frog called Beelzebufo that lived about 68 million years ago in Madagascar would have been capable of eating small dinosaurs. The conclusion comes from a study of the bite force of South American horned frogs from the living genus Ceratophrys, known as Pacman frogs for their characteristic round shape and large mouth, similar to the video game character Pac-Man.

Lliam Ahearn at GameCloud writes: "Knack II is a great example of a sequel making things right. A lot of the characters dampen the story as they did the first game, but Knacks personality and the cartoony villains are enough to keep things entertaining. The strengths of the first game are re-tuned and expanded here, making for a God of War style brawler for a family audience, without sacrificing too much in the way of depth. The platforming the first game promised is here with traversal challenges designed less impeccably than a Mario Galaxy, but a few notable steps above a Pac-Man and The Ghostly Adventures. Though the potential of a few of Knacks abilities isnt quite maximised yet again, it certainly feels like they put some effort into it here, and the result is a solid action platformer."

James writes - "If I told you Pipe Mania is getting a current generation reimagining, with an RPG twist, youd probably be pretty surprised. What's next? Pac-Man becoming a first person shooter? And whilst none of that is really happening, there is a new game on the Xbox One which has clearly been inspired by Pipe Mania and thats SwapQuest. Its supposed to be a blend between a simple puzzler and some old school RPG mechanics, but does it make for a good recipe for a game?"

From GameWatcher: "Sonic the Hedgehog has lived a long and (mostly) fruitful life. Conceived by Sega as a means to combat Nintendo's stopping power thanks to the likes of Mario, Yuji Naka's 'Mr Needlemouse' became what Pacman was for Namco. The 90's were a big time for the bipedal blue rodent and his friends with well over a dozen titles, two cartoon shows and a long-running comicbook series cementing his place as yet another video game icon."
