Flynn: Son of Crimson 2D Action Platforming Done Right

Added: 16.12.2018 18:19 | 3 views | 0 comments

Sammy J from Gaming Daze writes: Too many games and not enough time to play them all. That statement is becoming very commonly used amongst gamers and gaming publications alike in this day and age and although I hate to admit it, theyre right. There are so many games that get overlooked for one reason or another through no fault of anyone which is why people like me take great pleasure in raising awareness for smaller games that I feel deserve peoples attention. The big name games out there like Call of Duty, Fifa and Smash Bros all leave craters on the earth when they launch which is fair enough. But let us not forget there will always be alternatives released on a monthly basis that will offer different kinds of satisfaction for your gaming needs. Take Flynn: Son of Crimson for example, this is a 2D action platformer with a lot of satisfaction on offer. I have played through the demo several times and can safely say that it has a lot going for it.

Classic Game Developer Forced to Pull Game Source Code Auctions

Added: 16.12.2018 18:19 | 4 views | 0 comments

Carl Williams writes, "It is a sad day when we see things like this. Al Lowe, creator of Leisure Suit Larry while at Sierra On-Line, put a few files up for auction on eBay recently. As expected, fans of Leisure Suit Larry 1 and 2 quickly made this become a big thing in the retro gaming community. By becoming a big deal though, the auctions caught the eye of current owner of many Sierra On-Line intellectual properties, such as Police Quest and Kings Quest to name a few. This is important because that company is Activision and they have taken legal action against Mr. Lowe in reference to those two auctions. End result, those auctions are now pulled."

Review: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - Perfection - Gaming Boulevard

Added: 16.12.2018 18:19 | 3 views | 0 comments

Gaming Boulevard wrote: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is an amazing game and a must-have for everybody who owns a Nintendo Switch. It's the perfect celebration of years filled with glorious video game memories. Packed with content and tons of characters to keep you entertained until the launch of Nintendo's next console. It's easily the best Super Smash Bros. game in the franchise and it certainly deserves its Ultimate tag. I'm just a little worried about how they'll ever top this entry. Needless to say, a game as perfect as this, deserves our perfect score.

Dragons Lair Licensed for Release on Texas Instruments TI99

Added: 16.12.2018 17:32 | 3 views | 0 comments

Carl Williams writes, "Dragons Lair is one of those titles that even non-gamers know about. While it never achieved that Myst or Doom level of exposure, the classic Full-Motion Video (FMV) title still has transcended gaming in many respects. Many fans over the years have ported Dragons Lair to various platforms but this port for the Texas Instruments TI99 computer is one of the only officially licensed ports. Independent homebrew developer Mike Brent has worked out how to get the full laser disc game onto the TI99. Dont worry, everything needed will be in the box."
