Netanyahu 'Utterly Opposed' To Iranian Presence In Syria

The RIA News Agency reported Russia and the United States are willing to do everything within their power to ensure Israeli concerns about the creation of de-escalation zones in Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Monday. Speaking to reporters late Sunday night in Paris, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the current arrangement allowed for a permanent Iranian presence in Syria and his country was therefore “utterly opposed” to it, Reuters reported.
