Chemical Weapons Team Kept From Alleged Syrian Attack Site

Independent investigators heading to the flashpoint of an alleged chemical weapons attack near the Syrian capital on Monday were prevented by Syrian and Russian authorities from visiting the site, The Associated Press reported. The investigators were denied access to the Syrian town of Douma after the U.S., France and Britain bombarded sites they said were linked to Syria’s chemical weapons program, the report said. Because the inspectors from the watchdog group The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons were not allowed to visit the site, many questions remain about the April 7 attack.
