Chinese Social Media Giant Sina Weibo Reverses Anti-Gay Ban After Protests

Late last week, China’s popular social media site Sina Weibo announced plans to delete content related to gay themes in an effort to create a “harmonious” environment, The Washington Post reported Monday. But the move sparked tremendous public backlash, so much so that the hugely popular site reversed its decision Monday, according to a statement posted online.
