Travelport has signed a new agreement with German online travel services provider UNISTER Travel. Under the new agreement, UNISTER Travel’s customers will now be able to access Travelport’s unrivalled travel content from, for example, the world’s leading national and low cost carriers.
Emirates will start operating a second daily service to Lisbon, Portugal from 1st January 2016. The second daily wide-bodied flight will offer passengers the highest standards of passenger comfort, with luxurious private suites in First Class, lie-flat beds in Business Class and generously-sized Economy Class seats.

Amadeus IT Holding has repowered adjusted profit grew 10.3 per cent, to €419.6 million, in the first half of financial 2015. This was driven by an increase in revenue of 14.2 per cent, to €1,977 million, and EBITDA growth of 10.8 per cent, to €779 million.
The launch this weekend of Etihad Airways’ second daily non-stop service will connect Melbourne with more of the world’s great cities and create new opportunities for international commerce and trade. The new service will be operated by a three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with eight seats in First Class, 40 in Business Class and 280 in Economy Class. Leading Asian hospitality group Dusit International has entered into an exclusive agreement with South Africa-based eLan Property Group to manage several hotels and resorts in southern Africa and the Indian Ocean. The agreement was signed at a meeting held in Franschhoek near Cape Town, South Africa, where Thai minister of commerce Chatchai Sarikalya was in attendance, alongside Dusit International chief executive Chanin Donavanik and chief executive of eLan Property Group, Mark Taylor.
MBNA Thames Clippers has seen two new 150 capacity catamarans loaded onto a vessel in Hobart, Tasmania, ahead of setting off on a 10,000 mile journey to the River Thames in London. The two new boats represent a £6.5 million investment boost for London’s commuters and sightseers and they will provide additional capacity across the river transport network when they go into service in autumn 2015.
Over the next 18 months Network Rail will be making significant changes to Paddington station to provide passengers with new and improved facilities. The Grade 1 listed structure is currently benefitting from a renovation of its roof and an upgrade to its lighting system above the platforms.
International Airlines Group has reported second quarter operating profit of €530 million, up from a figure of €380 million for the same period last year. At the same time, revenue for the quarter at IAG – which operates Iberia and British Airways – was up 11.2 per cent to €5,656 million.
